GALESBURG — Author, world traveler and inspirational speaker Leon Logothetis will make an appearance at Carl Sandburg College at noon Oct. 7 in the Student Center on the Main Campus in Galesburg, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd.

Formerly a broker in London, Logothetis gave it up for a life on the road as a writer, adventurer and philanthropist. Logothetis has visited more than 90 countries and traveled to every continent. He is the host of the National Geographic International TV series “Amazing Adventures of a Nobody” in which he sees the United States, United Kingdom and Europe on just five dollars, pounds or euros each day, respectively.

Logothetis recently filmed his new TV show, “The Kind Way Around,” in which he circumnavigated the globe on vintage motorbike, giving life-changing gifts along the way to unsuspecting good Samaritans while relying on the kindness of strangers. Logothetis has documented his travels for outlets such as “Good Morning America,” “Today,” the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle and the New York Times.

His latest book, “The Kindness Diaries,” is available now and chronicles his circumnavigation of the globe on kindness. His first book, “Amazing Adventures of a Nobody,” also is in stores. For more information about Logothetis, visit
