Welcome to the Testing Center at Carl Sandburg College. As you begin or continue your educational journey, we would like to make you aware of the variety of services our office provides to assist students as they pursue their academic goals. The Testing Center coordinates and administers the following services:
Accuplacer Placement Test a computer-adaptive college placement test that evaluates an incoming student’s skill level in Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
TEAS-AH (Test of Essential Academics for Allied Health): a pre-admission exam that helps identify a potential candidate's readiness for select allied health programs (i.e. Dental Hygiene, Radiologic Technology, Medical Assisting, and advanced certificate programs within the Radiologic field.)
TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills): a pre-admission exam that measures entry-level skills and abilities of nursing program applicants.
C.N.A. (Certified Nursing Assistant): Sandburg is a testing site for the Illinois State Competency Exam.

C.L.E.P. (College Level Examination Program): CLEP exams are intended to test an individual’s college level knowledge gained through course work or independent study. By passing a CLEP exam, you can earn college credit. Students should discuss the CLEP options with a Student Services counselor prior to registering for any of the examinations.
GED Testing: The 2014 GED test is a four-subject high school equivalency test that measures skills required by high schools and requested by colleges and employers.
Test site for online courses: Instructors may require that you take your exams in our proctored environment.
Make-up exams: With instructor permission, students may make up a missed exam in the case of emergency or illness.
